160 tracks of (then) unknown psychedelic and garage tunes, originally compiled by Billy Synth, a record collector from Pennsylvania, Volume 1 was released as a double 7" vinyl ep in 1978. This makes it one of the earliest compilations of the genre, Nuggets being released in 1972 and Volume 1 of Pebbles coming, also, in 1978. There have been 10 volumes in total (numbered 1 - 11 with the omission of 10, any ideas why would be greatly appreciated ben@psycharella.com) spanning 20 years. Enjoy.
