It has been Psych-A-Rella's pleasure and privilege to work closely with Shindig! Magazine for a number of years. Beginning with ben writing some live reviews for the magazine before taking over the online side of the mag. During this time The Shindig! Revue was born, 8 live shows at The Victoria in Dalston, London over the space of 2 years. We had some amazing nights and met the greatest people and were really on a roll until.....Our work with Shindig! culminated during the pandemic of 2020 where we joined forces to create something special. A 6 hour online festival! A seed of an idea germinated into a giant oak of organisation. Artists were approached, and from our list of around 60, 57 said they'd do it! So we got to work with the logistics and technical side of actually doing it, a steep learning curve for a group of analogue lovers! But we did it, and merely 3 weeks after proposing the idea, the Shindig! Magazine Lockdown Festival was aired live simultaneously on Facebook and YouTube.  With over 9000 viewers raising £2000 for The Trussel Trust. We followed this with The Shindig Magazine Online Revue, a series of Shindig! Sessions and finally the Shindig! Online Festival 2021- where the technical gremlins finally realised we didn't really know what we were doing and forced an abrupt halt to proceedings. Our heartfelt thanks go out to everybody involved from the super talented performers, to those behind the scenes, to the viewers who left such lovely comments (the most prevalent being "What time's Weller on?") and the Trussel Trust for helping those that needed it most in such a troubling time.
